Hi – I’m Sian, a forty-something mum-of-two and I provide personal training to women who are struggling to feel in control of their body.
My clients come to me because they don’t just want to go through the motions with exercise on a gym floor, but because they want more. Skill and expertise to deliver results – lean muscle, bone strength. Expertise in the women’s health field. Specific knowledge on pelvic health. A down-to-earth approach that’s not always gunning for ‘more’ from them. That’s tuned into their needs as a woman with multiple pressures on their time. Assurance of a trusted ear for worries and concerns.

My clients come to me because I’m not a former gym bunny. I’m a working mum in perimenopause with pelvic health issues just trying to fit it all in too. I don’t offer get fit quick schemes, diet plans or before and afters. I offer perspective, realism, encouragement, support, expert knowledge, trust and results.

The Fresh Start story
Fresh Start came about because I needed a fresh start! A decade of working in Corporate PR had worn me out and worn me down. It wasn’t what I wanted but while I figured that out, I decided I needed to get healthier. I started working with a personal trainer and discovered I loved movement!
I decided that armed with my communication skills I could offer the ‘exercisephobe’ something that felt less intimidating and more intuitive than the gym. So, I took a leap of faith and began my fitness journey!
My PT training reinforced my belief there was a piece missing in the fitness space that I wanted to fill. Women only. Safe space. No intimidating routines. A whole-body approach not defined by thin but by life stage and the individual. Focus on pelvic health and measuring progress by navigating life’s key phases (those ‘fresh starts’ of motherhood, the postnatal period, peri and post menopause or post hysterectomy).
And here I am over a decade later doing what I love and (hopefully!) having made ‘fitness’ feel possible for my clients, that they ‘belong’ here too, that nothing is impossible and that fresh starts are empowering whatever your age or life stage.
A bit about me
- I’m an identical twin. No, we’re not telepathic!
- I grew up near Stafford but left to go to Uni and only came back a few years ago after 20+ years living in London. I now live a stone’s throw from my childhood home with my husband and two children
- I did next to no exercise until I was about 28. Then I found my calling and left PR to qualify as a Personal Trainer in 2012!
- I’ve hung out with Beyonce and Justin Timberlake
- I LOVE watching/reading about professional cycling but only pootle on my bike with the kids
- I’m obsessed with interiors magazines and Insta house accounts
- I love travelling and spent 7 months in South America, Oz, New Zealand and Singapore
- I love a police/crime/forensics documentary and a good book (current faves are Maggie O’ Farrell and Elif Shafak).
